America As It Should Be

The photo above, taken today, shows Republican New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and Democratic President Barack Obama as they meet to tour hurricane-affected areas of Christie’s home state.

You may remember that Governor Christie is a strong and vocal support of Mitt Romney.  He considered his own run for the presidency this year against the President.

However, in time of need, this is what makes America great — putting aside partisan differences to make things happen.  To save people.  To put wrongs right.  My thanks go out to both the President and Governor Christie for being post-partisan.  For doing the right thing without regard to the virulent and heated campaign against Romney.

These are the politicians we need…and why we must be careful NOT to elect politicians who are too petty to put country first.
